Like all Teslas, the Model Y carries its battery under the floor, resulting in a low center of gravity. This helps it change direction crisply and feel planted and stable in corners. The steering is accurate and well-weighted, with three different settings that adjust the level of steering effort.

Autopilot - Safety and Driver-Assistance Featuresg
Autopilots advanced safety and convenience features are designed to assist you with the most burdensome parts of driving.
Tesla is known for its very advanced Autopilot semi-autonomous driving system, and the Model Y offers the feature as standard. Even more advanced features such as a self-parking feature and a Summon feature are optional.

Built Around the Driver

All-Wheel Drive Dual Motor
Tesla All-Wheel Drive has two ultra-responsive, independent electric motors that digitally control torque to the front and rear wheels-for far better handling, traction and stability control. Model Y is capable in rain, snow, mud and off-road.

The expansive Glass Roof in Model 3 provides passengers with a brighter, more spacious experience-and a seamless view of the sky.

The Model Y doesn come with the larger Model X crossovers complicated Falcon Wing doors; its interior is mostly carryover from the Model 3 sedan. Like that car, it is largely free of buttons and relies mostly on a large infotainment display centered on a simple dashboard.
